Of the six tastes that Ayurveda recommends incorporating into every meal, Turmeric satisfies three: astringent, bitter, and pungent. But this currently popular herb is not easily absorbed by most of us, so many of us won’t reap the benefits without mixing it with something that is more readily absorbed by our bodies.
One easy possibility is enjoying the combination of turmeric and black pepper! This is a satisfying spice and also makes a wonderful evening tea, especially when mixed with a milk of your choice and raw honey!
